Ho-hum, I've just spent an hour updating this blog and managed to lose the lot! I wish I'd chosen a more user-friendly template. Still if that's the worse that's going to happen today I'm more than happy.
It's Friday the 13th and the UK has woken up to a new government. We're all searching for anyone that voted Conservative but no-one will admit to it! Of course, the overwhelming reason for this outcome is one of division. In a world where we should all be sticking together the majority of British citizens want to remove themselves from the security of collective responsibility and 'go it alone'.
From a spiritual point of view, separating ourselves from our fellow beings, labelling them as alien by race, creed or religion is a negative action. People calling themselves followers of any spiritual practice cannot have been responsible for the chaos and personal rejection this action has already caused; it goes against the instinctual passion to love one another and treat everyone as equal. The coming together of souls in a climate of love and respect is the only way we'll end the descendance into hatred we are now experiencing on a daily basis.
Why am I talking about this?
Today I had a meeting with a very conscious lady that will inevitably change the course of ETHOS over the next year or so. More about this later. When I arrived in town I noticed that the Council had placed signs in salient points advising people to donate money to the homeless online rather than in person to prevent people dying of overdoses etc. Stand where you will on this subject! As I approached the poster to take a closer look I noticed that someone had written 'kill them all' across the top; beside this someone had written '$*%$#ing Tory'! Do you see where I'm going with this? Social divide is now an acceptable expression of individual opinion - the right-wing rule, the right-wing divide, the face of 21st century capitalism.
Anyway, back to the positive stuff. You know things are going to be great when the Universe brings you into the same orbit as someone that not only shares your passions but is also connected to everyone you need to know to make these passions manifest! Couple this with the fact that they are at a pivotal point in their lives and want to take on something new and you start to realise the futility of the concept of 'coincidence'. I met this person today and will be filling you in on our mutual endeavours and progress over the coming months.
Before I go, I'd like to thank everyone who has supported us over this last year. There are too many individuals to name. People that have made massive sacrifices in many ways and have helped us become the success we are growing into.
